Prevention

The main causes of death in France are Cancer (30%) and cardiovascular diseases including strokes (23%).1

However, only 5-10% of of cancers are hereditary with the others coming from environmental factors (the main ones being tobacco, alcohol, viruses, work-related cancers, obesity and sedentarism (a lack of exercise).2.

Cardiovascular diseases stem from a number of risk factors such as age, gender, family history and other avoidable factors such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, obesity and being overweight, sedentarism and type two diabetes.

We could reduce or eliminate the risks of these scourges as they are mainly linked to lifestyles. Instead of prevention and human-based research, scientists cling stubbornly to to animal research. They research, or at least pretend to research, cures for cancer, cardiovascular diseases, AIDS, Alzheimer's, etc.

They can continue their research ad infinitum guaranteeing themselves copious subsidies, prestige and the publication of scientific papers and publications.
